Patient Participation Group (PPG)

The Pump House Surgery has a thriving Patient Participation Group which was first established in 2015. The group meets quarterly with one of the GP partners and other members of the practice team and are always seeking new members from all different walks of life.

If you would like to sign up to our Patient Participation Group, please complete our Patient Participation Group Registration form.

The group consists of 14 members, 11 female and 3 male. The patients work with the practice to contribute to the continuous improvement of services; foster improved communication between the practice and its patients, and help patients to take more responsibility for their health and provide practical support and help to implement change.

Patient Participation Groups work by building a relationship between the practice and its patients that breaks down barriers and shares information. The group helps patients to understand how the practice works and helps the practice plan and implement change. As a result of working together PPGs can develop to influence the wider NHS, most notably the decisions that are made on behalf of patients about the services that are to be available to them.

Patient Participation Groups are not a forum for complaints or your personal medical needs.
